The Junkyard Dog Collar is a premium collar that combines durability, style, and sustainability. Handmade in Detroit MI from upcycled fabrics from the car industry, the raw materials are of the highest quality. Made from the same soft, hard-wearing leather used in car seats and steering wheels, the collar also uses superior, long-lasting metalwork and stitching to create a product that is both strong and comfortable.
These collars are available in Onyx Black, Petoskey Stone Grey, and Coco Brown.
The Junkyard Dog Collar comes in just one size that is adjustable from approximately 34cm to 66cm (extra holes can be added before dispatch – send us a message). Due to the materials used, these collars are quite wide (around 2.5cm) and long, so generally suitable only for larger breeds.
Leather is a natural product, and each batch has its own tone and shade, making each collar unique. Colours may vary slightly from those in the images. If you want to be sure, we can send you a photo of the actual item you will receive before we dispatch.

How to get the most from this product
All dogs should wear a collar when out in public so that an ID tag can be attached. Fit the collar as normal to your dog. You should be able to comfortably fit two fingers under the collar so it’s not so tight as to discomfort the dog but not so loose that the dog might slip out of the collar.
Attach a lead (ideally a matching Junkward Lead) to the D-ring. Always attach a tag with your contact details on in case your dog goes exploring without you.
Leather and suede are natural products and whilst resilient, they need to be maintained. For the everyday cleaning of leather, use a sensitive hand soap. Never use harsh chemicals. For more ingrained dirt, and for an annual clean, use saddle soap and a brush. For suede, use specialised suede cleaning products.

Size guide
The Junkyard Collar comes in one size with eight (8) sizing holes. These holes are at at approximately 3-3.5cm intervals, with the smallest setting measuring around 33cm, the largest around 66cm. The collar is 2.5cm wide.

Although suitable for smaller dogs, this collar is probably not for the smallest breeds. Collars like this may also be unsuitable for sighthounds like Greyhounds whose head shape mean they could slip out of the collar.
The manufacturers recommend that this collar is used with dogs weighing no more than 22kg/50lb.
